WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) today received the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Spirit of Enterprise Award recognizing her support of pro-business policies and legislation.
The Spirit of Enterprise Award is given annually to members of Congress for their voting record on legislation critical to the business sector. Hyde-Smith is one of 55 U.S. Senators recognized for receiving 70 percent or higher score on the U.S. Chamber annual scorecard during the 115th Congress. U.S. Chamber President and CEO Thomas Donohue and Senior Executive Vice President Suzanne Clark presented her with the award.
Hyde-Smith will continue to support legislation that fosters economic growth and encourages job creation. She is, for instance, a cosponsor of the Health Insurance Tax (HIT) Relief Act, which the U.S. Chamber and National Federation of Independent Businesses both endorse.
