Internships Available
Senator Hyde-Smith offers internship opportunities in both her D.C. and state offices. The internship program is designed to create a unique opportunity to participate in the legislative process and public service.
Senator Hyde-Smith is pleased to offer internships in Washington, D.C., in order to give motivated Mississippi college students opportunities to experience and assist in the operation of a U.S. Senate office.
An eight-week summer session is offered in Washington, D.C., with applicants over 21 years of age and with Mississippi ties preferred. Spring and fall semester-long internships are also available. Intern opportunities in Senator Hyde-Smith's state offices vary depending on location.
All intern candidates are required to fill out the intern application provided below. In addition, all applicants must provide a cover letter, resume, and three letters of recommendation.
Applications are being accepted for 2025 spring semester intern positions, as well as the 2025 summer intern session. The application deadline for both spring and summer programs is Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
