HYDE-SMITH STATEMENT ON U.S.-RUSSIA SUMMIT
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) today issued the following statement regarding President Trump’s summit meetings with Russian President Putin:
“I am focused on the fact that President Trump and his administration have taken more concrete action to push back against Russian aggression than any recent administration. The President has confirmed he stands behind the assessments of U.S. intelligence community, which is doing incredible work to keep Americans safe. I know Russia’s bad acts are clearly the cause of strained relations with the United States and our allies, and I believe we should all support the administration’s actions to stop the discord being sown by the Putin regime.”
