HYDE-SMITH STATEMENT ON JAN. 2023 BORDER TRIP & HUMAN TRAFFICKING
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) today issued the following statement regarding the January 2023 trip she took with U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) to the U.S.-Mexico border at Del Rio, Texas, where they learned about the ramifications of Biden administration border policies, including human trafficking.
“I applaud Senator Britt and others who continue to raise awareness to the horrors of human trafficking. These baseless attacks on her are shameful. The media should stop trying to shift attention away from the real problem of Joe Biden’s border crisis.”
