“We greatly appreciate Sen. Hyde-Smith making time for the MDOT podcast during a trip back home,” said MDOT Executive Director Brad White. “As her former Chief of Staff, I know first-hand the top-notch job she does advocating for Mississippi, including our transportation needs, up in Washington. We’re lucky to have her in this role.”

The Extra Mile Podcast, which started in 2021, is aimed at taking listeners behind the scenes of transportation infrastructure in Mississippi. Past guests have included MDOT leadership and staff, elected and appointed officials ranging from the federal to local level, agency heads, media members, business owners and more.
