Measure Required as Current NFIP Program Expires September 30

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.) on Thursday helped introduce legislation to authorize a one-year extension to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), which is set to expire on Sept. 30, 2022.

The NFIP Extension Act of 2022 (S.4533) would extend the NFIP through Sept. 30, 2023.
