By Brett Campbell
U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.), of Brookhaven, celebrated the opening of a new Brookhaven office with a ribbon cutting Monday morning. The office is located in Suite C of the Benoits Building, 117 W. Cherokee St.
“I’m thrilled to open an office in Brookhaven,” Hyde-Smith said. “This space will give Mississippians in this region a closer option to access the constituent services offered by my office.”
“It has been an amazing adventure so far. We do have a lot of challenges in this country and we need your prayers, for sure,” Hyde-Smith said. “We just want to be here for service. Michael Guest has an office here in Brookhaven, too. It is just right down the street and it is well-staffed. Brookhaven, Mississippi, is well-represented in Washington, D.C.”
Some of the issues Hyde-Smith’s office can help constituents with are: Social Security; Medicare; veterans and military benefits; visas and passports; federal housing programs; IRS and taxes; federal grants; economic development; student resources; and tours of the nation’s capital city.
